چکیده

Background Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) has expanded its role in the diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease and acquired heart disease in children. However, there are limited studies evaluating the role of cardiac magnetic resonance in delineating the anatomy of coronary arteries along with assessment of first pass myocardial perfusion in children. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extensive use of CMR for delineating coronary anatomy, evaluating first pass myocardial perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement in children with acquired and congenital heart disease.

Relationship between Late Gadolinium Enhancement Extent in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Old Myocardial Infarction

Purpose: To assess the relationship between the severity of coronary arteries involvement and the extent and pattern of myocardial scars in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance of patients with history of remote myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: The Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images of sixty patients with history of remote ST segment or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were ...

Magnetic resonance imaging of ischemic heart disease.

Cardiac MRI has long been recognized as an accurate and reliable means of evaluating cardiac anatomy and ventricular function. Considerable progress has been made in the field of cardiac MRI, and cardiac MRI can provide accurate evaluation of myocardial ischemia and infarction (MI). Late gadolinium (Gd)-enhanced MRI can clearly delineate subendocardial infarction, and the assessment of transmur...

Characterization of microvascular dysfunction after acute myocardial infarction by cardiovascular magnetic resonance first-pass perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement imaging.

PURPOSE While both first-pass perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) can assess coronary microvascular status in acute myocardial infarction (AMI), there are only limited data on their respective diagnostic utility. We aim to evaluate: the utility of first-pass perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement imaging in the detection and quantification of ...

Appearance of microvascular obstruction on high resolution first-pass perfusion, early and late gadolinium enhancement CMR in patients with acute myocardial infarction

BACKGROUND The presence and extent of microvascular obstruction (MO) after acute myocardial infarction can be measured by first-pass gadolinium-enhanced perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) or after gadolinium injection with early or late enhancement (EGE/LGE) imaging. The volume of MO measured by these three methods may differ because contrast agent diffusion into the MO reduces i...

Myocardial perfusion is impaired in renal transplant and liver transplant patients

Methods We conducted a prospective study of 25 renal transplant (RT) recipients, 8 liver transplant (LT) recipients without previous CKD history and 7 controls with hypertension (HT). The transplant recipients were asymptomatic and had no previous ischaemic heart disease or revascularisation or systolic heart failure. The pre-transplant workup of the RT and LT were negative for haemodynamically...
